"The hotel was substantially abandoned: the beach bar and restaurant featured in the Expedia listing had been demolished, and I saw only one staff member during my stay, a lady with slight English. When I left at 10.30 on Tuesday morning no-one was around. The rooms were satisfactory - electrics and plumbing were working, bed linen was clean, and a large balcony with loungers was shared with the other two rooms on the floor. "Serendivi Resort Villa was amazing! Right on the beach, Tropical Modernist architecture and an incredible view. We were looked after very well by Farees, Chefs Sanath and Vinodh and the Manager Prabath. Really delicious food. I wish we had stayed longer! "

"Wasn't very clean especially the bathroom. No where to place anything in the room, had to use floor. Poor lighting in room, only I of 3 lights worked. No toilet roll or soap provided, had to ask for toilet roll. No dustbin in room or bathroom. This is a homestay, not a hotel. Breakfast was good and they attanged a scooter hire for me. Sadly when I went to leave things turned nasty by both the father and son, claiming I needed to pay for the room and breakfast. I booked via Hotels.com a company...

"This was one of our favorite places during our trip to Sri Lanka. The rooms are huge, very clean and everything seems really new. The owner is very nice and helpful and the breakfast is great with a great view of the lagoon. If you like birds we saw both eagles and peacocks during our stay here. You are around a 5 min walk from the beach and besides the restaurant on the property there are some good restaurants around."
