Wow what a view! We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Golden Sun, very clean rooms refreshed each day. Lovely pool and beach with lots of sunbeds and chairs, friendly staff and only ten minutes walk to the village. A simple Greek hotel with the best location.

Sea view rooms have a great view over the pool and across the bay. Rooms where clean and functional, would benefit from deeper wardrobe. Pool and beach areas are very nice. As other travlers have mentioned, breakfast is basic and continental. Access to the hotel is via a narrow road with steap inclines, so not ideal for people with walking difficulties. The beahes all around this area are fantastic and well worth the short travel to them. Overall its agreat hotel and good value with helpfull and friendly staff.

We were a group of 9 and booked 3 rooms. 2 out of the 3 room were not satisfactory as for cleanliness. One room so bad that we had switched rooms. The facility was good but location and view was fantastic. The staff were great. The 2 bartenders ladies spoke excellent English. The breakfast was more of a continental style. The pool was perfect and you still had the choice of an ocean swim. I was going to give a 2 star due to Mr Nikos (owner) terrible and unprofessional attitude but the staff made up for his lack of respect for his guest Our complaints about the dirty rooms had Mr Nikos remind us and quote “ this is a 3star hotel not a 5star” Which I reminded him , no mater the rating of a hotel, guest expect a clean room . We won’t be going back !!

Golden Sun Hotel is in a truely gorgeous location. It is a delightfully quiet, restful place to swim (in both ocean and pool), read, enjoy the company of froends and marvel at the beautful view. The staff were pleasant to interact with and very welcoming. The facility is dated but in good condition and very well cared for. We very much enjoyed our brief stay and would enjoy a return visit!

We arrived in a dark reception area, were known was there to greet us. Another guest had to direct us to the man sitting in the dark in the dining room. The beach and the pool area was very nice. We are hoping for more regarding their food service. I was highly distressed by the mattress. We had to double check to make sure it was not a box spring/mattress foundation we were sleeping on. I got 3 hours of sleep. I was really hopeful for thos place based on the photos. It has me very leery of photos and reviews I see online.

Firstly we chose this hotel because it had a lift and we knew we would be coming with large suitcases. We were very disappointed to find that there was no lift at all even though it was advertised as having one. The owner was very unfriendly and surly. No basic amenities in the room such as tea or coffee. No shower gel in the room as they had run out. Pool was great and friendly poolside staff. We booked 2 rooms both with partial sea views but on arriving we were told that there was no Seaview - they did upgrade one of the 2 rooms. Rooms were very basic. One room had basic TV channels all in Greek while he other room had more channels including English channels, albeit it was a pc monitor sized TV. When we arrived around 9pm the hotel foyer was in darkness- we asked the owner if the power was out and he said no - we found out that they just don’t turn lights on
