"First experience with a smart hotel room. Stayed three nights and still found that we could not completely figure out the electronic parts. Lights in bathroom would shut off when in the bath relaxing and trying to read a book (had to stand to reactivate them which was annoying) and room blinds/lights would randomly open/close at times (still can’t figure out why). Laundry facilities are limited access - only available when reception is manned. Location was excellent!!! Close to beach, food options and the train station!! Would stay at again."

"The room was small with just a bed and a couple of hard kitchen chairs to sit on. It would be nice to have one more lounging chair to make it feel more comfortable. Good for one person, might be tight for two for a few days. There were basic supplies in a newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. Great water pressure! You could see the ocean between the buildings across the alley. You could see the sunset perfectly in April, not sure how that might change at different times of year. Conveniently located near the beach, shopping and centrum."

"The staff were friendly and helpful. It appears that Pension Blankebil has many buildings/rooms. Our room was quite clean, however the room had a musty odor that did not dissipate. The shower would overflow and flood the bathroom if your shower was more than a couple of minutes long. However the water was very hot and had great pressure. The beds were comfortable with extremely lumpy pillows. The location was very good - a few minutes walk to the beach, grocery store or town centre."

"Fab stay at hotel Zand, the price is great for the area of the property. Very short walk to the main part of zandvoort and the shop is litrally 2mins away. The host checking us in was lovely and friendly, felt very relaxed staying at the property. Would definitely return in the future and recommend to others. "
