Best Western Plover-Stevens Point Hotel & Conference Center
6/10 Okay
"We arrived late night and were greeted by staff. We checked into our room and discovered the tv remote didn’t work. We went downstairs to have breakfast which was very little to choose from. The bowls of tangerines and apples had a sign on them that said fruit not washed. No sink around to wash them. We asked the man at the desk to please fix our tv remote and asked for fresh towels. We left for the day. We left our sign on the door that said please make up room. Got back to our room around 8 pm. The remote was still sitting where we left it and no one made up our room. We went and got fresh towels and asked about the remote the man at the front desk told us to turn the tv on and off on the TV. We were there for a whole week so it was a pain in the butt getting up and down to turn on and off the TV. We asked on day 3 for them to clean our room again we were gone all day returned and the room was not cleaned again. Day 4 we again asked them to clean our room. We were almost out of toilet paper the shower towels were piled up. Came back late in the evening and they finally cleaned our room. They should of replaced the TV. I think that was very inconsiderate of them to blow us off.
We will not be staying at Best Western agin in Plover."
"We've been staying at this location for 4yrs and after this stay, we wouldn't come back if in this area. Run down, construction in same areas for over a year in same areas, large cobwebs in our room. We had gone to the pool on 2nd night and no towels. Went to the front desk and the woman at front desk told us they had no towels for the pool so we asked from dry rooms towels and were told they had none and we saw them in housekeeping. She was useless and I believe wife of GM. GM was friendly, but she was very sparky."
"Some of the electrical outlets in the room did not work. Fitted bed sheet kept coming off. Jacuzzi tub power button needs replaced. Cover would fall off when pushed. "
"The room was somewhat small and did appreciate the extra door; gave off uncomfortable vibes. Also there was no bar soap in bathroom nor soap dish. They did have wall mounted dispensers but it was just strange also they could use fabric softener for bath towels, wash clothes, etc and the tissue was brutally dry and harsh.
We paid an extra fee for breakfast when we booked and that was so well worth it. However it would have been helpful if front desk workers mention they have an on site full restaurant and had a small map of layout of building verses wondering around following signs. Overall it was a nice place."
