This hotel had just changed ownership a week or so before we stayed. Property was gated, and we felt safe as it was located in an upscale neighborhood. Staff was helpful to an extent, but still very new due to the recent ownership change.. You’ll need to bring your own bath rug, face towels, washcloths, soap, shampoo, etc., as nothing was provided except for one large bath towel in each bathroom. The unit we stayed in was very large and had two bedrooms, both with king size beds, and an en suite. There is alsoa powder room off the kitchen/living room and a smaller bedroom/office with a twin bed. For the Johannesburg area, this is probably one of the nicer places to stay. Please note that there is no breakfast or restaurant although both were advertised. The amenities shown listed in the hotel write-up were nonexistent. Proceed with caution.

Great place, conveniently located

Lovely place that is within walking distance of the Hyde Park Shopping area. Also close to many other places worth visiting.

The staff was friendly and the property looks like it was once gorgeous but it is rundown and needs a facelift. Shower tiles falling off and cutting out feet, mold and mildew in the shower, floors dirty and sheets questionable clean? Wouldn’t book again unless work was done. The area was beautiful and felt safe.

It’s not worth the money. Staff is rude, and visitors aren’t allowed after 10 PM which is crazy business.

I think it should be updated with the current pictures as the current picture online does not reflect the true picture of the property. I prefer low-income earners rent the place and smoking should not be done in public.

Not a hotel to stay in Johannesburg

We stayed for one night and it was the worst place on our entire trip. The apartment/suite we got was spacious but everything was dirty and dusty. There were ants crawling around and the place was not cleaned properly. The cushions on the sofas looked like someone just used it. There was hair in the shower and on the bedding along with stains. Outside everything was dusty and it was clear that because it was low season they weren’t maintaining it, in which case they shouldn’t rent it out. For breakfast they didn’t have tea or coffee as the machine was broken. We asked for some napkins to wipe the dust on the chairs and the table and they didn’t have that either. All together it was a terrible experience and the pictures in hotels.com are misleading.

Disappointing. Bed linen not ironed. Duvet hanging out of duvet cover. No blanket provided. When I asked for one, it was damp. White curtains and blinds in bedroom and bathroom were black with dust. Only one towel each provided. Soap container used by many before us. Towel rail broken. No coffee provided, only many packets of sugar. Poolside furniture not clean. Definitely not 4 star!

We enjoyed our stay. Checking in was a breeze.. The pool is refreshing and clean. One staff member refused to help me with carrying a chair. Said her leg is painful... Staff members need to give guests some sort of privacy, they sat and watched us swim and passed comments it was uncomfortable. The room is nice and big. We really enjoyed our stay... Will be returning for sure
