8/10
I stayed in an executive room, which was huge and overlooked the bird sanctuary across the road which gave great views and a nice quiet location. Note the actual entrance to the bird sanctuary (other then the bird hide which is on the corner) and Blue Crane restaurant is a bit of a walk since the entrance convenient to Crane's Nest has been blocked off. Complex is safe. Breakfast is good. Pool not much, but ok for a quick dip. There were a couple of things for me though, one is that there is little assistance provided to overseas tourists in terms of advice and assistance to book tours, places to see and how to get around. They didn't have a tourist map of Pretoria at the office. On enquiring about the tours outlined in the information pack in the room, I was told it was out of date, and given a brochure for another company and told I could ring them to make arrangements. They didn't have much insight into the different options available. Some of the drinks and snacks offered in the minibar were past their best before date, items were reasonably priced. Laundry service is charged per item, and as expensive as higher end hotels. Wifi was strong.
