My husband and I checked in at DoubleTree by Hilton Chengdu - Longquanyi on 9 June. While we were using the lift from 21th floor to Ground floor lobby at night, suddenly the lift(p1) dropped to 14th floor, then dropped to 13th floor again and stopped there. We were stuck in the lift for roughly around 40 minutes. During the period of stuck inside the lift, we both felt unwell and we fearful of our lives, experiencing incomparable pain.

Once they did get through they told us the hotel was closed for refurbishment and that we had to book another hotel! Which we did via hotels.com. "When we arrived they picked us up in a disorganised shuttle. Took us 40 minutes away from the airport then told us we didnt have a room and asked us to pay more. Would not recommend."

"The hotel is right inside the airport. In terminal two. It is intended to be a stopping place when you have a long layover, not a place to reside for any long period of time. For example, there is no shower and the bathroom is literally down the hall in the terminal, not inside the hotel. You book by twelve hour periods. But if you have a long layover, it's a fabulous opportunity. I would absolutely stay there again."
