The property was in a fun area, right on the doorstep of shops, restaurants and more. It was difficult to access by car but had ramps to bring luggage in. The room was clean, but bathroom was tight. A good stay.

Wonderful stay

Wonderful stay in an delightfully restored, historical building, right in the Kemeraltı market. The service was wonderful and the attention to detail in the design was great. As it is in the market, it might not appeal to noise sensitive visitors, but we loved it.

İf you are looking for a truly Turkish experience this is the place for you. This hotel is set on an old caravanserai which has been beautiful restored and refurbished with great style. Staff is wonderful and they are all trained in the Turkish art of hosting. Great value. I highly recommend this hotel

If you are visiting Izmir (Smyrna) for its historic significance, this is the hotel for you. It is across the street from the historic Agora site that is well worth visiting, with artifacts and buildings and arches dating from the time of Alexander the Great. It is also located in the middle of the historic market/bazaar Kemeralti Market, an adventure, delicious and lots of fun. This area feels totally removed from modern, commercial business center Izmir. The staff is amazing and goes beyond most hotel concierge staffs globally in patiently arranging tours and places to explore, both in Izmir and the surrounding area. I particularly want to thank Romeo for his extraordinary help in arranging tours for me and also rescuing me when I got lost. He loves his city and it shows! The justifiably famous Turkish breakfast had many delicious hot and cold choices, all freshly prepared and replenished as needed. My only criticism was the constant smoking in the dining room restaurant. The food was excellent, as was the live band, but you're surrounded in a miasma of smoke.

Character property in edge of bazaar. Restaurant and bar inside the property (immer courtyard) was lively and the singing/music went on loudly until 11pm. Nicely renovated space. Friendly staff. Large breakfast choice but no juice. Good to walk to agora, vazaar and sea front etc. Approx 1km walk from Basmane Gar.

It is a lovely hotel located in a building inside the bazar (but it is very quiet). The central court host a restaurant/bar, and you can have your breakfast outside (if you like). Rooms are located at the first floor with balcony looking at the court. Rooms are very nice, with a lot of space, and absolutely clean. I definitely prefer that kind of hotels (to the standard international hotels) when I am on vacation, for the relaxed mood you feel. At night there is even live music in the court (that you can enjoy from the balcony or while you have dinner). It was the ideal choice for staying in Izmir. Th guy at the desk is amazing, he is always ready to help you, and he can even recommned or plan some trip around Izmir (Ephesus, Pamukkale, etc.) at reasonable prices. I totally recommend that boutique hotel.

Agora is located in the old city and has a unique restaurant that has live music. If you want to discover the old medina, it is definitely the place to be.

This hotel is in a very strange location, but that is what makes it exotic. It is in the middle of a market. You cannot taxi there, and in fact, many taxi drivers did not know of this hotel. We had to walk and cross the fish market. The smell was not good. The rooms are around a court yard that is full of smokers. Therefore, the smoke gets into the bedrooms above. We informed the staff and they told us to run the air conditioning to clear the air. We did and in the beginning it worked. However, later in the night, the air condition unit stopped working and the room was again smelling of cigarette smoke. We opened the windows and were able to clear the room, but then it was noisy. I don’t recommend guests with health conditions to room there. Let me clarify that the rooms are not smelly when you enter. Only when you open your door to enter or the unit stops working. Otherwise, the rooms are clean and well decorated.

L’Agora Old Town Hotel was right in the center of Kemeraltı Bazaar, which was amazingly convenient. Shops and food all around, but the best food and environment was at L’Agora itself. The room was a good size and clean. We loved our stay at L’Agora!

If you want to feel the real atmosphere of the old Izmir this is the place to go It is a bit noisy since the restaurant downstairs plays music every night The staff is very friendly

Location is great. It's far from the cool area of Izmir but if you want to be in the middle of all the shopping/historical action, this is the best place. It has a very cute central open air area which is also the restaurants. Bed was comfy and room was clean.

I loved the open area inside. Walking through the fish market was fun, I always knew when we were close to the hotel Breakfast was great I was not aware that the entertainment on the weekends would go till 11 pm, I still went to sleep without a problem
