"When booking through Expedia, we were not made aware that the hotel was undergoing major renovations. There was active construction during the day and access to rooms was limited or through the construction zone. The room itself had double beds that were very uncomfortable. "Mold on bathtub non-slip mat and shower curtain. Exposed plumbing is very noisy. Location is great. There are lots of chairs to sit at the river. "

"Great place to stay. Motel rooms are small but very nicely set up and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there."

"The staff was very very friendly, the breakfast was good the rooms were clean and quiet. Our grandson really enjoyed the pool. The location of the hotel is excellent with shopping and restaurants across the road. Will definitely be staying there again."

"Great location in Mahone Bay. Welcoming owners, nice rooms. Shared bathroom but that is expected in a B&B. Easy walking to restaurants and around town. Nice continental breakfast (we had fresh cooked croissants). Only complaint was lack of plugs/charing ports in room (had to unplug TV to access a plug)."

"We enjoyed our stay at The Black Forest, despite the cold and rain. The cabin was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed, but it would have been nice to have a microwave and freezer; however, we knew there wasn't either when we booked - just a comment really. We felt like we were in the woods, yet we were close enough to walk to several restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay at the Cabins again."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Magnolia Inn! The place was spotless, and the little extras included in our stay were a thoughtful and unexpected touch. Our room was cozy and inviting, and the bathroom felt luxurious with its spacious walk-in shower. Craig was easygoing and a pleasure to chat with, it’s clear he and his wife have poured their hearts into this new venture. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily stay again. "
