"This hotel is really run down. Needs a coat of paint & major overhaul. Nothing looked like the pictures. The location is great & the front desk staff are wonderful. So, at least it has that going for it. Breakfast quality was disappointing. Some random buzzer was being tested the 1st morning & woke our young grandkids up. No warning on the buzzer at all. "

"Hotel and grounds are rather run down but trying. Bathroom in particular had seen better days. Room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room name was Skye. The view was amazing and it was great watching Ferries come and go. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on food. Is a good 1/2 hour walk into town. "House was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Was met by one of the owners, who was very welcoming and she gave me my key and some useful information. The room (a small double) was beautiful and looked out onto the main room. Bed was comfy and had a great night's sleep. Only 2 issues, plug sockets are all very low to the carpet and I struggled to use them, as I have health issues. Other issue was the shower. "Love the Hotel. I m 80 now. I was always there with my parents. As a wee boy it's got a great feeling to it. Only thing I was dissatisfied with. Was fried breakie. It went cold quick too. It cost me. 30£ for two my wife ate very little of it."

"We have stayed here before and it is a good practical option for us when we visit family. It is clean modern and nice and warm. We have stayed twice before in different rooms, both of which were bigger than the one we had this time. It would really have been more suitable for a single guest. That being said, we did manage ok for 2 nights. We did notice the noise from other guests a bit more this time than we did before. The location is ideal as there are shops, bars and decent restaurants...
