The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. "This is a hard review to right as it appears staff there work and I hesitate try their best to help maintain “the flogging of a dying horse”. On arrival the car park is pot holed and camera driven parking fine so make sure your reg no in system within 10 mins. It’s obvious the building is deteriorated showing age wear and previous leaks in ceilings. Surprisingly room was ok , clean sheets , towels, hot water etc but again no real comfort. "A beautiful B & B run by Karen in a tiny hamlet near Keswick. The room was delightful with comfortable bed and furnishings that matched the age and style of the building perfectly. Lovely view from the window over Karen's wonderful garden with, at the time I stayed, a hen with 8 tiny chicks. Parking was easy and the breakfasts filling and delicious. A wonderful stay in the Lake District."
