"This is the 2nd year I stayed at his hotel and I plan on staying here again next year. My con is that I wish it had a better restaurant in it. This area is okay but it’s not a real separate restaurant it’s just an open area in the lobby. The hotel, staff and rooms are great, which is more important. I didn’t do any drinking or eat any breakfast so I can’t talk on that. I do recommend this hotel. "

"My room had a bug infestation, I don't know if it's a weather, beach area, 1st floor issue. I checked in at midnight and didn't want to move. But there were probably 10-15 bugs that I killed throughout the weekend and more just crawling around. I did report it to the front desk. Breakfast is just grab and go oatmeal packets, packaged muffins. The room is not stocked with kitchen ware- even plates, cups, sliverware. They can all be requested from the front desk."

"Great location, friendly staff and clean room. Only small negative is the AC probably needs updating, we were there in March, no way the AC will keep up in the summer. Overall a good place for the price, will definitely come back."

"good breakfast (egg, bacon, grits, biscuits, yogurt, waffles etc. could improve the tea section (basic Liptons). Room was clean and quiet, parking easy. It's a good stop for easy access to bridge to downtown Charleston. Check water taxi nearby straight to downtown, avoid $$ parking downtown. Nice restaurants within 5 min drive along river for sunset."

"This hotel was exceptionally clean and inviting, modern new furniture, bright white sheets and pillowcases, beautiful and clean towels... The staff was wonderful, specifically Sunshine and Sydney! Both very pleasant, friendly, and respectful, a beautiful example of southern hospitality!!"

"It was a quiet room, however I’m glad it was cold out because our room faced right over the pool, but we had a nice view. You could see the Harbor view however I didn’t like being next to the pool… they were doing some construction so that was a little disappointed because you could see like the mess besides the pool but other than that, it was fine the bar downstairs a little bit weird but they had a nice little fire pit outside"
