Great hotel

The Krone hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and clean. I was amazed to see Loccitaine toiletries in the bathroom. The only negative aspect was the restaurant selection of food and the prices were expensive. As travelling overseas people we would have like a least a couple of less expensive choices on the menu. We had to travel to a supermarket in a nearby town to get some cheese and biscuits as there was nothing open in the small town near the hotel. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

Safe and clean helpful stuff you must have working phone if you arrive late after 5 or 4 pm local time so you can talk to someone who work there, because there will be no one at front desk

Unstaffed at night. No instructions given to find keys behind flower pot by front door and then had to call a back up duty number to be told I was staying in a building over the road which was otherwise unoccupied. No hot water so repacked and was offered a room in the hotel. After that fine but this is a weird way to run a hotel. Also was given no instructions to find the car park up the road which I had to discover for myself. Breakfast was great and staff very nice in the morning. An odd experience overall. A less seasoned traveler would have found it unsettling.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Wednesday through Sunday. There’s a bus stop right down the street but only until 7pm. If you come back to hotel after that the nearest bus stop is a 15-20 minute walk. And on Sundays the bus doesn’t run until 1pm- which was unfortunate because we needed to get to the airport- but staff arranged a taxi for us on Sunday morning which was fantastic. Other than limited transportation in area, everything else was great. The room was spacious and perfect for what we needed. Bed was made every night we came back to hotel. Bed was comfy and temperature in room was good as well.

Outstanding staff and service! I wouldn’t change a thing. I went for Art Basel and planned a bit short notice but was lucky enough to find this darling place. Rooms are classy and modern with real art, air conditioned which many people staying in much more expensive places didn’t have. Food is exceptional and at an incredible price compared to the norm for Swiss. I highly recommend. They are indeed service animal and pet friendly as well!

My appartamento n.41 was at first floor, near the door of the entrance of building. not all people were careful not to make noise when entering or leaving. I woke up at 6 because they slammed the door hard. There were no sweets or croissants in the breakfast room

Ich habe am 12.09.2025 von 14:20 bis 15.00 Uhr vor fest verschlossener Tür auf der Eingangstreppe sitzend auf das bestätigte Zimmer warten müssen. Jemand aus der Küche kommend hatte dann einen Schlüssel, konnte aber nicht den Check-in bedienen. Ich habe bis heute noch keine Rechnung erhalten. Kein Personnal.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad bij het genusshotel. We waren in het bijzonder verrast door de ruime kamer. De ruimte was erg ruim en overzichtelijk. Ook is er een gevulde koelkast aanwezig. Nadien werd ons gevraagd of we hiervan gebruik gemaakt hadden. In het appartement stond niet aangegeven dat hieraan kosten verbonden waren. Wellicht goed en handig om hierin duidelijkheid te scheppen, zowel voor de klant als voor het hotel. In het hotel was een ontbijtbuffet. Dit was overzichtelijk en typisch Duits. Toch was er alles wat je nodig hebt om je buik te vullen. Aan tafel werden we begroet met authentiek Duits humeur: 'Kammernummer?!'. Het antwoord maakte de medewerker niet vrolijker. We hebben ons er niet aan ge-ergerd.
