"The heaters need to be cleaned really badly. We turned them on because the house was cold, but they started to smell horrible. Like burnt dust. The carpets are stained and need a good steam cleaning. There was a very strange and offensive odor in the master bedroom. It smelled like the chemicals in a hair salon. We booked 3 nights and only stayed for 1. Expedia tried to reach out to the property owner, but they didn’t respond and we couldn’t get our money back. I don’t recommend this rental."

"Fabulous stay, very querky and very interesting link to Bram Stoker. The staff kindly let us see the visitors book showing Bram Stokers entry and made for a good couple of hours browse if u like that kind of history. Also close to Slains Castle, just a short walk away. Very enjoyable stay."

"Our stay in the yurt was fantastic and had everything we needed for a relaxing few nights away. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our visit special, even providing a birthday banner and cake for my wife's birthday, dog treats for our dog, and bubbles for our little one. These thoughtful touches were greatly appreciated. The hot tub was excellent—spotlessly clean, well maintained, and checked daily, which gave us confidence that it was being cared for properly. The only minor improvements I would suggest would be giving the lawn shark boat and the children's treehouse a fresh coat of paint and carrying out a few small repairs. That said, our child absolutely loved playing in them, and they certainly didn't take away from our experience. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to return. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing getaway."
