Although the hotel was lovely, there were just a couple of little issues. We were told there would be in room coffee makers and there were none. There was a used/dirty rubber bathmat on the floor behind the tub when we checked in. Hotel Service was very good and the room was otherwise very clean.

The Cantilever Hotel is also the Cantilever Distillery. The staff was wonderfully helpful and very personable. Since I didn't want to drive into International Falls for dinner on any of my three nights, I sat at the bar and ate. The food was wonderful; being a distillery, there was no wine or beer, just craft cocktails. And when I say "just" that is not in any way a putdown. Creative and delicious! I would highly recommend the Cantilever Hotel.

Likes: stylish hotel, clean spacious rooms, tasty food in bar/restaurant, rooftop hot tub area is a nice place to relax, coffee station on each floor was a treat, easy drive to Voyageurs National Park. Dislikes: dim lighting in rooms and hallways, claw-foot bathtub looks nice but was difficult to get into and out of, noise from nearby trains in early morning. Overall, the likes outweighed the dislikes, and we’d definitely consider the hotel again if in the area.

My family and I loved it! I stayed here with my parents and we had drinks and shared appetizers at the bar and it was all lovely! I had the pear sage gimlet, it was so good I ordered it twice. The hot tub was another huge win! I was also able to book a massage for my dad at the hotel for an early Father’s Day gift!! We can’t wait to go back!

It’s a little confusing, the hotel is in the distillery. You have to go into the distillery to check in. The elevator is in the middle of the dinning room area which is somewhat awkward. Other than that the place is amazingly done. Staff was awesome, food was good, clean, well done. The rooms are really cool, with private drink bar in your room. I thought that was cool enough to buy a bottle and I don’t drink bourbon. Very well done. 4.5*

Unique concept with an upscale feel. Room had a view of the lake. Drinks and food were great except not a lot of options for those who don’t eat dairy or meat. Waited for over an hour and couldn’t get the sauna to get to a comfortable temperature.

This is a really cool, unique place to stay! We enjoyed our overnight. Had a wonderful supper in the bar/restaurant off the lobby, a quick walk to the beach & stopped in at a local bar then back to the rooftop for a sauna before bedtime. I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!

We stayed at the Cantilever Hotel at the start of spring and really loved the location. It’s about 10–15 minutes from the airport and just a stone’s throw from the river. Although trains pass by occasionally, it didn’t bother us at all. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like ear plugs and a sound machine for a better night’s rest. The staff were very friendly and professional. The drinks at the hotel’s restaurant and bar were fantastic, especially since they have their own distillery. We’d love to come back again in the summer!

Extremely noise room. I understand the train noises, from being located right next to the busy track, but every sound throughout the hotel seemed to echo through the room all night long. Almost impossible to get some sleep.
