Every little detail has been thoughtfully provided, and Liz herself couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. The location is wonderful too--dinner at the nearby Edinbane Lodge was outstanding and the Edinbane Pottery is well worth checking out. I highly recommend this property."

"From the moment we approached the driveway I was taken aback. There’s a large pile of old tires at the bottom of the drive. The drive is several hundred feet long and very rutted and muddy. It badly needs to be regraveled, as does the parking area. The picture of the house on the listing is many years old, and it needs paint badly now. I know it’s a wet environment, but it’s not well maintained. Inside is not real clean. There’s a lot of mold, and a lot of basic repairs need to be done....

"This was the best location and the most unique hotel in Portree. The room was beautiful and the bathrooms have been redone. We loved it!! The food was incredible!! Close to everything in town. Make sure you get there early though parking in town is limited, and the rules are not easy to figure out, so we found a parking ticket on our car in the morning. Besides that - it was incredible"

The staff accommodated us so well when we arrived because we had not eaten dinner yet and were starving so they made sure that we got something from the restaurant even though they had closed the kitchen! We were so thankful and I definitely want to stay here again when we come back to Scotland."
