Exceptional value for the price / Great dinners
We were extremely pleased with our stay at Pura Sanda Villa. We were a party of five adults (mostly women) and two young kids and we stayed for 4 nights. Our hosts were friendly, loving, attentive and respectful. The matron/owner Dissanayaka cooked breakfast and dinner at our request (for which we paid separately) and her dinner curries were the best we ate in Sri Lanka. The location was very close to Sigiriya Rock (about a 15 - 20 minute drive). The property was about 100 meters off the main road and we could not hear any sounds of traffic. It was surrounded by beautiful gardens and it was very enjoyable to sit outside and relax on a couch or at an outdoor table. WiFi was excellent. The accommodations were clean but also very modest. For our party, it was exactly the right fit as we wanted great value for the price but also a place to relax. It's so nice when traveling to really feel welcome and at home, especially in South Asia when traveling with women and children, and we felt safe, secure and well taken care of at Pura Sanda Villa.
