Motsameta Monastery is an important pilgrimage location, dating back to the 8th century. The monastery was mostly rebuilt, but impressively locates high above the Tskaltsitela river that flows around the monastery on three sides.
A beautiful church. Beautiful frescoes all over. I was the only one there at the time, it was very quiet.
