There was a man, Bor, who was so friendly and welcoming. This property felt so luxurious but also homey. The Michelin restaurant served absolutely delicious local food. We slept so well here. It was so quiet with antique books everywhere. The bath was so nice in the bathroom with everything you could want - robes, slippers, conditioner, shampoo and Epsom salt.

The staff at this hotel were nothing short of amazing! We were pampered from the time we arrived until the time we left. The restaurant was superb. The food was spectacular! Even breakfast was top notch. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area, this is it!

We checked in at 11 PM for one night and the following morning during the breakfast time , one of the ladies in the restaurant approached us to ask us to leave the room even though we were with a two months old baby girl. For this price , let the guests finish their meal before asking them to leave.

Sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt definitiv nicht. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem historischen Gebäude, dementsprechend kleine und dunkle Zimmer, kein Aufzug. Unsere Bitte nach einer 2. Bettdecke wurde abgelehnt, obwohl nur wenige weitere Gäste anwesend waren, es doch wohl aus anderen Zimmern eine Bettdecke hätte geben können. Das Restaurant bietet Mini-Portionen zu einem überhöhten Preis. Diese Hotel ist m.A. nach nicht zu empfehlen!

Tranquility and Outstanding Service

This was our second visit to Slovenia, but our first stay at Hotel Kendov Dvorec. As you can expect from any Relais Chateaux association hotel, the service, friendliness, and overall experience of Kendov Dvorec was phenomenal. Helena, Gregor, Mateus, and the rest of the staff were so so kind and welcoming; we genuinely felt that we were guests in the home of the bests hosts ever. One evening before dinner, Gregor built us a fire so we could sit in front playing card games while sipping wine made by the hotel owner and enjoying a local charcuterie. Dinner was amazing - I highly recommend letting Gregor choose the wine pairings for you! Breakfast was a beautiful spread of local meats, cheeses, fruit juices, pastries and cereals, and the best assortment of local honey and jams. They also prepared delicious eggs and bacon. The hotel itself is a beautifully renovated mansion, with elegant antique furnishings, set on a hill overlooking a church. We visited in winter, which was lovely, but I can imagine the grounds and garden are spectacular in the summer. Idrija is a quiet little town, and a great base to explore the rest of Slovenia, as it's just a short drive to the Postojna and Skocjan caves, Predjama castle, the beach town of Piran, and the capital of Ljubljana. While in town, I recommend visiting the local mercury mine to get a sense of the history of Idrija. I highly recommend Hotel Kendov Dvorec and hope to make it back again someday.

Es ist ein wunderschönes Hotel, zuvorkommendes Personal, sehr gutes Frühstück. Die Lage war mit rund 68 km vom Lubijana etwas umständlich. Ansonsten super 👍

İt is an old manor/inn that has been renovated. Rooms on the top floor therre was no elevator I dont know how they handle people with disabilities. The bed was too soft and bouncy for my taste. There was a bath but no shower curtain. İt was difficult to take a shower. The gardens are very pretty.

Un albergo caratteristico, con uno stile tradizionale, molto carino. Tutti i dettagli sono ricercati. Sembra di stare in un museo. Ti coccolano con i biscotti e le lettere di cortesia di benvenuto e di buona notte. La colazione è buona, con il prosciutto fresco, salame tipico e il miele del posto. Forse l'unica pecca è che nella doccia mancava la tendina o il vetro e mentre fai la doccia l'acqua va dappertutto.

Amazing! worths every cent

We had our last two nights in Slovenia, after a 10 day trip, in an amazing hotel which was once a house and they were the best two nights throughout the whole trip. The ambience is of a cozy slovenian home. The staff and the service are wonderful, the food is very tasty. New and comfy amenities. The only thing that wasn't as great is the bed

Endroit magnifique (relais et château) à un prix abordable Cadre exceptionnel mais pas toujours facile d’accès du fait de travaux routier.... restaurant dans le jardin avec un dîner animé par un trio à cordes!!!! Excellente cuisine et remarquable sommelier Petit dej exceptionnel avec des produits frais locaux...un jambon de montagne à tomber par terre!!!!! A recommander sans modération et une très belle étape entre Ljubjana et l’italie Par exemple
