"This was the 4th time staying at the George and for the last 2 times ive a room with a very small tv.
So s.all on this stay that watching the football i had difficulty seeing who was who and were the ball was.
Otherwise the staff are friendly the meal i had very good.
Next time unless i have a room with the bigger tv screen i wont be able to book.

"After returning to the area after 16 years, we chose this hotel for the personal touch over other chain options. The hotel's staff was amazing and accomodating. They provided great service and every meal was delicious. The Thomas Paine Museum was of special interest and full of information for this history buff. We cant wait to book our next trip."
"Lots of gangs of kids hanging around, and not a safe feeling area. Property lacked basic things that you’d expect in a hotel. No one on site to contact to rectify things. Not a good place to stay. "
"Made to feel very welcome and hotel kindly arranged a late check-in without fuss. The room was comfy and clean and the breakfast first class. Nothing was too much trouble. Hotel is in a super location on the bridge with views of the river and just a short walk to shops and amenities. Very friendly - will always go back when visiting Thetford area."
"Only spent one night here but our room was really good (modern and felt new). Had everything we needed and bed/pillows really good. It was hot night but expected it with the nice weather (room did have a small cooling unit and we brought our own fan). Nice bar and restaurant attached. Would stay here again next time we come to Haverhill."
