The staff were welcoming and pleasant and nothing was too much for them. We were treated on arrival to an upgraded room, staying in a junior suite which was perfect in all areas. The City was beautiful with lots to see and do from walking the City wall to walks along the river and gardens with lots of historical points of interest to stop and absorb throughout...

In addition you're next to the roman amphitheater and the grosvenor park which is lovely for a walk or a short jog. Parking is in the multi storey car park on pepper street and is 1/2 price if you tell the hotel, but the spaces are very small (not ideal if you have a big SUV). There are other car parks available. "

Bed looked like it had been slept in (didn't though) duvet flat old the cover wasn't on proper and had to re make the bed. Shower good power but leaked and wobbly. Had an old covid notice on the room. Very outdated. Good parking. Breakfast good. Tea/coffees free all day. Felt safe and would stay again (in another room) "

"A beautiful hotel very central location near the Cathedral our room was in the cottage which was beautifully decorated. Breakfast is extra £15 pp we declined as there are so many nice little cafes and coffee shops near by. The bed mattress was too hard which I know is a personal choice. Would definitely return. "
