Staff was amazing but the rooms are very outdated, carpets are s
Extremely old n stained. The plumbing was not good, the first room had a bed in the hallway. They did change is to the family room which I Originally booked, it was much better but still outdated. We had several Moths in the room.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Appeared to be a little run down in parts. Carpets upstairs were dirty and stained. Bedrooms were clean and had hair dryer and irons/boards. Beds were very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were lovely and welcome after travelling in the heat. Towels provided. Staff were friendly and helpful. Did not eat there but had a drink. Prices were astronomical £27 for 4 lagers. Despite that would use again.

Liked: Staff & service
The room was basic and appeared to have been made up in a hurry - wastebin liner not fitted to allow waste to be deposited and no teaspoons.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.
There was evidence of repair work in the bathroom where different tiles had been poorly fitted - but it was clean and functional.
The pizza served at dinner was as good as you would get anywhere in mainland Italy - obviously fresh and piping hot.
Breakfast was excellent, a very good selection to serve all tastes, hot food hot and a good selection.
Friendly and attentive staff, although a call to reception went unanswered for some while during a busy check-in period.
The current drought conditions didn't show off the gardens to their full potential and paved walkways had quite a number of loose slabs.
The building could be made beautiful but is in need of a refurbishment. It is quite tired and in a poor state in most places.
I had poached, scrambled and fried eggs on the three days we were there and not one of them were cooked properly.
The carpets definitely need cleaning or replacing, in fact the whole place needs freshening up.
However, there were two weddings, a party and a funeral wake whilst we were there and the hotel itself was busy. Plenty of parking.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant but we felt it would benefit for more staff to be on shift at once as sometimes they were rushed off their feet causing delays in delivering the service in the restaurant and bar.
A bit disappointed for a Mercure and I doubt we will be back.
Great for people with dogs.
There was ample parking, and the receptionist was very helpful in explaining our travel directions for the following day.
The breakfast offering was fresh and varied.
The Car Park was large and easy to access, with well marked bays. The Hotel room, beds and bed linen were very clean and comfortable... as were all of the corridors and areas leading to the accommodation.
The Breakfast Buffet had a comprehensive range of options BUT due to the Hotel being very busy on the Sunday, items either ran out or cold... however, on the Monday (when there were very few guests), my order was taken by the member of staff looking after the Breakfast service and soon presented freshly cooked and plated... which was excellent.
Black mould on the bathroom tiles, coffee machine not working. Lady at breakfast was most efficient and friendly. Spa bath was lukewarm and not working!
