The renovations are lovely! We have stayed here years ago. Breakfast is very nice. That's a lot of stairs for elderly guests, perhaps more help could be offered.

Great location with places to eat next door. Hotel comfortable- parking a bit awkward and not that easy to find for foreign visitors due to limited signage. But receptionist helped me and I got parked ok. Breakfast was very basic, but was ok as I’m not a big morning eater.

I cannot believe as a returning guest I was placed in the darkest dingiest room! Having stayed the week before £5 cheaper I had a courtyard view. I would say the room with this view is unacceptable, given the hotel was NOT busy! I would say this is a £75 room! This is not how you treat solo guests, if you want them to return.
