In such a lovely position but you feel kind of neglected once youve checked in. That was the only time we saw a member of staff, no scope to leave bags in storage at end of stay and room size fit 1 not 2. When you need staff at 6/7am its no good if no-ones around til 8am/9am. Lovely spot but pretty lousey otherwise gutted to say

Unique location as a former prison. Rooms in the prison part are basic but OK. Breakfast is super and very good. Extreme helpful and friendly personnel.

Simpel hotel.

Had meer verwacht dat ik de sfeer van een gevangenis weer zou zien. Maar had een kleine kamer op zolder. Matig ontbijt. Wel mooie locatie. Op loopafstand veel kroegjes en restaurantjes.

Also es ist ein ehemaliges Gefängnis und die Zelle (bzw das Zimmer) ist sehr klein. Es steht nur ein Bett, ein kleiner hocker im Zimmer. Dazu noch eine kleine mit schiebetür abgetrennte Nasszelle. Es ist eine Erfahrung wert, aber für einen langen Aufenthalt nicht zu empfehlen. Es ist sehr hellhörig, ich habe alles gehört was meine Nachbarn gesagt haben, aber ich kann ja kein Holländisch.

Prima hotel, fijne locatie

Mooie locatie aan het IJsselmeer en centrum van Hoorn. Kamers zijn schoon, bedden lekker, verder basic. Echt een hotelkamer om in te overnachten, niet om gezellig in te zitten. Ontbijt lekker, vers gebakken broodjes, lekkere koffie. Vriendelijke ontvangst.

Opfylder ikke kravene til et hotelværelse. Vinduet kunne ikke åbnes og der var meget varmt. Ingen dør til badeværelse. En regulær fængselscelle, hvor man ikke kan kigge ud af det lille vindue og hvor der var mørkt og klamt . Vi valgte derfor et andet overnatningssted. Vi fik kun halvdelen af beløbet tilbage og vi beder Expedia om at refundere resten .

Una pena

Curioso hospedaje pero las habitaciones abuardilladas una pena, inutilizan la mitad de la habitacion y haciéndolas muy incomodas. Sin aire acondicionado gracias q ponen unos portátiles porque desde q amanece y le empieza a dar el sol es imposible aguantar el calor. No hubo servicio de habitaciones y el desayuno buffet algo pobre pero bien el primer día, el segundo nos lo sirvieron en mesa y peor porque hasta q nos pusieron todo fue lento (una sola persona para prepararlo todo y atender las mesas de la terraza) una pena.

sehr störend empfand ich keine Tür oder Vorhang zwischen Schlafraum und Toilette. Leider auch alles ziemlich Dreckig.Das Konzept mit den alten Zellen ist schon gut, könnte aber besser umgesetzt werden,Auch die Außenanlage ist sehr ungepflegt.Wir haben 2 Nächte dort verbracht und auch die schmutzigen Zimmer hingewiesen, aber keine Änderung am nächsten Tag schade eigentlich.

Zonde.

Qua locatie erg goed maar dit hotel is niets bijzonders. Kamers zijn kaal en klein. Je ligt onder het dakraam waardoor al het vuil van het dak op het bed, niet echt fris. Badkamer is niets meer als een grote douche. Geen douches scherm waardoor alles nat wordt. Het spiegeltje boven de was bak is 10 bij 20 cm. Scheren met hindernissen. Bediening in het restaurant is drukker met elkaar als met de gasten. Zonde.

You're gonna feel trapped (thats not a good thing)

Not suitable for guests to stay when the sun shines, since no proper aircon is installed. It seems the renovation budget did not include funds to fix that, so some ''hose out of the window'' aircons have been brought in. Staff works in cafe downstairs and are only allowed to assist guests if the manager approves it. NOT great

Great experience

Very unique prison converted to a hotel. Great views in the morning Only mention is its a bit of walk from the train station to the hotel especially if you are dragging your suitcase on cobble stones
