When I told him we could not catch the next morning train back to Shin-Osaka with their regular shuttle service, he offered to help us to book taxi and printed out train schedule with platform on/off outlined. "Really lovely ryokan and onsen with beautiful ocean views. The futons were very comfortable, as well. It's a little outside of Wakayama city (about 30 minutes/¥3500 by taxi), but there is a nearby bus and they have a parking area if you are driving. The staff speaks a little English, but don't expect the same level of English that you might get at a larger, urban hotel. Overall, it was very relaxing and I would definitely recommend it."

So all we could hear was everyone coming in and out of the hotel, the lockers being opened up to place ones shoes in in the foyer, the cars on the road (our window was on the street). "The best place to stay after a long flight. Just a minute walk from the Kansai airport arrivals to laying in a comfortable bed. Super quiet, never heard a plane even though we could see a runway from our window. And there’s a Lawsons convenience store in the hotel! Highly recommend staying here. Don’t spend another 2 hours traveling into Osaka or Kyoto after a long flight. Just stay here and refresh for the night before getting on with your adventures. "
