"The staff were lovely. The room had some issues. The lighting was poor especially the communal corridor. Couldnt see to insert the door key. No facial tissues. The dressing table was unstable and wobbled. Breakfast was excellent, dinner not so. My main portion was paltry. A discount of £2.40 was offered as compensation, not enough. "There were strong dog smells in the reception area, and the rooms often picked up cooking smells from the kitchen. The mattresses in the bedrooms were also too soft and should be replaced with firmer, more comfortable ones. Overall, the stay was fine for the price point, but anything over £70 per night would not represent good value for money."
