"Clean & comforts, but there’s no table which even can’t have a simple breakfast. Have 2 sofa which are no use for us. It’s better to have a table & storage drawer."

"Lumley Castle is steeped in history. The layout of the communal rooms is a little random and not brilliantly signposted. Staff are all very helpful. Restaurant was good quality. Breakfast good. The rooms lack a few amenities like usb or even plugs by the bed. Soap and shampoo is all that is provided in the bathrooms, which is unusual for a more luxury branded hotel. All small things but would make a difference. but overall it was a very pleasant stay."

"Hotel did not inform me that all roads leading to the hotel in a rather large radius would be closed on the night of my arival. There was no communication of alternative parking arrangements. When I arrived and explained calmly that I was not a happy customer I was given excuses. Apparently they are unable to contact me because I booked through expedia. "A friendly check in. Everything the hotel offers seems to have been given thought. Standards generally high and everything most people would need was available. "

"Excellent stay for the price. Room was very well appointed with great shower and plenty hot water. Staff were very attentive and breakfast cooked to order at a very good price. Bar was available too although I didnt use it. Plenty parking available close to reception and looked secure. Would definately stay again."

"Check in and breakfast were good. The area is close to great pubs and restaurants and the metro. Unfortunately in the year since we last stayed here, the hotel looks a little rough inside. Carpet looks beat up. There are dings and scuffs all over the walls inside hotel rooms. We had a great time otherwise. "

"Pleasant stay at the Seaton Lane Inn with a little hiccup of no towels in the room on arrival but was remedied straightaway. Check in was quick and easy although steep stairs to the upper level of the Inn rooms. May be a little difficult for older people to negotiate these. Had food in the restraunt one night and enjoyed the steak which was cooked as asked and the service was also good from the waiter. Check out was also quick and easy so a very good stay at a good hotel."

"First time I stayed in the seaburn inn as I stay in Sunderland a lot but from now on that’s the only place I’ll stay Staff- very helpful. Even late at night, remote broken for TV and went out their way to get me a new one. Just all round brilliant"
