"As a North American, I was pleased by the large rooms, real air conditioning (not the one that stops at 26C/79F). Location is interesting with the Dreiländerbrücke/three countries bridge/passerelle des trois pays nearby. It is a big shopping centre and traffic can be a bit loud, but stops when the center closes. Be careful if you have a Swiss travel pass, it doesn't cover the German part of the tramway line."

"A very pleasant one-night stay at the Ibis Basel. Located within walking distance of the Basel SBB station, and easy access into the old town with the free transport card provided. Friendly and helpful staff and compact but clean room."
