"Room was clean, bed was comfy and towels were fluffy. Evening meal was pretty disappointing, very much lacking in flavour. Burger came with bacon which was not mentioned in menu and was therefore not suitable. Breakfast was good"

"Comfy easy access room with walk-in shower, very helpful staff. Surprisingly quiet given it was Eater Saturday night. EV charger parking spot was occupied for many hours by a non-electric vehicle and the adjacent spot occupied by an EV which was not on charge. Staff said they were not responsible for its use."

"Lovely pub hotel, close to Gatwick airport. We had an upstairs room in the separate annex outside the main building. Very spacious room, clean bathroom, and comfy bed. Had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent (if a little pricey). Was leaving for the airport at 7:30am and breakfast started from 8, so they prepared us a very substantial packed breakfast to go. Overall excellent value for money and would certainly stay again and recommend."

"This was a great stay and hope to book in the future! The rooms are larger than expected and the hotel staff were so kind. The only issues was that the elevator (lift) was not working the whole stay which made it hard to carry luggage. "

"Absolutely stunning property for those who like a bit of history. Host was so accommodating to our needs. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and we felt so relaxed making the most of the roll top bath. Breakfast was top drawer (loved the sausages especially). Nothing to fault. We’re already booked in for next year!"

"Breakfast was very plentiful and tasty and the two for one happy he with cheese and biscuits was a pleasant surprise. Wasn’t aware we needed to pay £10 for parking however. Room very spacious but was feeezing. No hearing has been put on before our arrival and we had to sit in our coats for ages before it warmed up. Very good location for visiting town on foot "
