"The room was a reasonable size but not big. However the facilties were excellent. There was a smeg fridge and kettle. The walk in shower was excellent. Easy to get the right temperature and pressure. The whole bathroom suite looked like it was relatively new. No mold no water damage anywhere even the grouting was clean. "We had a nice 2-night stay here. The price was very reasonable and included a light breakfast which was great. It's a friendly hotel complete with a resident peacock and lovely views. Good value for money."
"Love these older style hotels. There has clearly been recent refurbishment and the reception and staircase look great and in keeping with su a property. The standard room we stayed in was basic and if older style but very clean. Everything worked as expected and we had a great sleep.
As there is no on site restaurant the foyer and downstairs area lack a bit of ambience and I would suggest some music be played to make it a bit more welcoming

"The hotel itself needs a little bit of updating in terms of decor, but the room we stayed in was fine for us and was very quiet. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was OK (the water pressure was a bit low) and it was nice having a full sized fridge in the room. The staff were always friendly and it was an ideal base for visiting family in Halifax"

"We had a nice warm welcome on arrival . Breakfast was pretty good served by a well mannered woman and it was freshly cooked . The room was clean bed was comfortable shower was powerful and hot. The only downside and this is not the ibis it’s the pub that’s in front Prince William it was pretty poor. "
"The restaurant was lovely and the staff very friendly. The food was good value for money. We went to Wentworth Woodhouse Flower Show and it is a very easy walk. There is also a large garden centre very near. There was plently of parking at the property and the bedroom was huge. Very good place to stay."
"The inn/pub was well attended with nice staff. Our only complaint was that there wasn't any salad option on the menu...not even the old caesar in a bag. As it was a work stay, one can only eat so many meat and chips."
