Luxury in Paradise

It was one of the most comfortable and luxurious stays we had anywhere. The grounds and rooms are breathtaking and exquisite and the service was Taj standard at its best. We wanted for nothing and cannot criticize anything. Will be back for sure!

As usual, Taj level of comfort and services all within the resort. Radhanagar beach is right in front. Resort has many activities like inter tidal walk, night walk and many kids friendly activities. Only let down, atleast for us, was the water activities (i think is outsourced). The staff didnt even bother to get back to us on our query and 2nd time we went, didnt commit on timings which we felt very uncomfortable. Finally we went to elephant beach which had all sorts of water sports.

The staff are outstanding and the location is beautiful. The food is very good and they have a good range of alcoholic beverages. The Settlers experience is excellent. Everything is kept very clean. Things they could improve, the villa we stayed in (12) could do with refurbishing. It is comfortable but for example the bathroom floor is slats and you can lose earrings etc through the gaps. It also creaks loudly! The only other thing is that the food delivery can be slow at times.

This is truly a 5 star resort. The villas are incredible. The location is ideal (near what is probably the best beach in India). The staff are wonderful, helpful, and kind. I really can’t wait to go back!

Very nice property. A bit more on expensive side compared to similar properties nearby- and food choices are not as great for a resort of this stature; but definitely five star experience- lives up to Taj name. If any thing, I would suggest them to consider a better culinary experience by including local or east indian exotic dishes (that’s hard to find in traditional restaurants). Folks come from distance to that location - not to experience the same food they eat in their homes!

Most of the staff is great and very helpful, especially the old staff from other TAJ properties. Though the new staff is rookie and does not represent Taj standards, at times we did see 2 members at the reception bickering about some issues in plain sight. The reception was warm, but the introduction to the property amenities was rushed and not complete. The team should have informed us a few weeks prior to our visit about the local ferry arrangements, which would have helped us plan better. A bit of cold response from the staff to arrange coconut waters at times.. should have arranged for ample supply... especially being in Andaman. Some great staff members who were amazing and super helpful and did raise the bar at TAJ Mr Gajendra, Mr Santosh, Mr Joy Deep, Mr Vikas - were the stars at the property !! Mr David, Mr Basu - were amazing and very helpful !!

Resort was amazing, the location service and hospitality was phenomenal. The food in the restaurants is not upto the mark and was really disappointed with the buffet breakfast as well as the other 2 restaurants shoreline and turtle house. If food is improved, this could be one of the best beach resorts in India

New property so the rooms/facilities are in good condition. Easy access to Radhanagar Beach but no real beach views. The Wi-Fi is satellite based and next to non-existent (available intermittently in the lobby) and no cellular data so if you need internet/ email this is challenging. We were told by management that plan to connect to underwater cable from Port Blair is scheduled for summer- so Wi-Fi may be improving in future. The Lacadive office that is on property is fantastic and very accommodating if you want to do scuba diving or other water pursuits. Front office staff at the hotel and restaurants could be improved as they are not very accommodating for a property of this level. It took repeated requests for concierge assistance. Housekeeping and spa staff were good. We were originally scheduled to stay 7 nights and checked out early - if you are not interested in water sports/beach there is not a lot going on so 2-3 day stay would be sufficient.

Paradise in progress

The Taj has many great features, the amazingly well designed and spacious villas, the world class infinity pool in the jungle setting, and close proximity to one of the worlds best beaches. Service was at times too much, and other times not great, but generally OK. The ride to the ferry was overpriced especially as the driver was not the best and service was not sufficient. The resort is a work in progress so will only get better. The food was very good in both restaurants, but the atmosphere a little to vast and open. All in all though, we would definitely recommend a stay!
