"We stayed at theis Comfort Inn for just 1 night. We had toliet issues within 10 min of our arrival and they sent someone immediately to fix the problem. There is a small indoor pool (which was a good temp) and hot tub, which also was a good temp (usually hotels keep their hot tubs "warm", but this hotel's hot tub was closer to a true hot tub temp). I also used their gym, which was very basic. 2 cardio pieces of equipment and dumbbells. All areas were clean and well maintained. Good breakfast served-waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, hot oatmeal, cold cereal, juices, bagels, English muffins, and breakfast muffins. Lots of selection. There's a very cute "food hall" across the street called, "Tin Can Alley". It's a good variety of small, interesting restaurants. Area seemed safe. The front desk staff told me that it's only 1.5 mile walk to the Balloon Fiesta park from hotel. "

"The suite had no cooking/eating utensils, bare amenities , a lot of the people staying there are long-term and not necessarily the most considerate of other guests, loud, arguments that can be heard , marijuana smoke odors outside in the parking lot, just not very classy overall. I don't recommend this hotel to fellow business travelers."

"The staff was amazing. Angela was so kind to see if a room was available so we could check in a little early. She was friendly and went above and beyond for a customer. Rosie, another front desk manager was also able to quickly and personally attend to 3 guests, me being the third. She was attentive and professional with my question about the water being off. It was discovered that a new maintenance worker had temporarily had it shut off to repair a washer, but it was quickly back up by the time I had gotten to the front desk. In the morning, we were greeted by Irene who asked about our stay. She was also friendly and was able to provide information about the hotel. The staff in the kitchen who provided breakfast kept it up to the time it closed at 10:00. We were worried that they wouldn't put out fresh food past 9:30, but the cook and staff were solid and kept it stocked. The house cleaning staff and even the maintenence man were friendly and appeared happy with their work. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The pool and hot tub were clean and water pH was exceptional! Not heavily chlorinated and the hot tub didn’t get those suds I often see when the water isn't balanced. I would gladly stay there again. We went to see a comedy show at the nearby casino. Cheaper than the casino and just a few blocks away!"

"I was disappointed to see the lack of true New Mexico hospitality in what is supposed to be a heritage hotel. My husband was confused when he was charged an extra fee on check in. He asked what it was for. The desk clerk told him he was paying that fee because he had elected to stay at that hotel. Needless to say, that answer did not satisfy, nor did it show basic respect for a sincere question. A fee should not ever be charged without a polite, concrete explanation for what it is for. It definitely wasn't for breakfast or complementary coffee stations. I'd say to the owner, because we were so disappointed, I actually looked him up, you are getting very rich on these hotels that used to be so charming and authentic. But your hotel seems like every other of the growing number of places that advertise well and ultimately have no actual respect for everyday travellers. We thought this one would be different. Unfortunately, it is not. Next time, AirBnB for us in ABQ. "
