"From the outside it looks tatty but go in it's well looked after. Our room has a refurbished bathroom with a large shower,bath and toilet all new. The menu has a good choice of courses. It has a large outside area for seating. Also they have live music in the evening with different themes."

"The property is timber framed and old, really old. Cleanliness and condition is very good but this building needs constant maintenance. We loved it, it’s very old and full of history. Very cute little town, very nice surroundings. We hit it in the middle of a heat wave and there is no AC, in fact there’s likely no AC in most of the village but the normal temperature does not require it. We were just unlucky. "Very tired decor- mouldy shower/ bathroom. Strong smell of disinfectant, exposed wiring on lights. Needs refurbishment."

"Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. "
