"Room was very small and badly damaged, and we banged our heads on the tv ever time we used the wardrobe area. Breakfast was cold, and not very pleasant. Some reception staff were arrogant and unfriendly"

"Lovely and clean, nice hosts and very good location"

"Stay spoiled by very loud neighbours from 6:30am. Suppose that is. Ot the hotels fault but the walls are paper thin"

"The general public areas were excellent and staff friendly and efficient. We would certainly staff again. Minor points - Our executive room was on the 3rd floor and ceiling and windowsill let the decorations down although for an old building a very nice room. Could do with more plug sockets especially at bedside for charging purposes."

"Super position and lovely staff. Comfortable room"

"The room was very dated, there was absolutely no information in the room about what the hotel offered, we had to go online to look at a menu for the restaurant. It was just an all round unpleasant place"

"Staff was friendly, full kitchen including washer/dryer, clean and comfortable. Ideally located. I’d definitely stay here again."

"Nice vintage hotel , breakfast was very basic, in line with expectations. Nostalgic location but beautiful"

"Great location, excellent value for money"

"Overall, a really good hotel. I'd give it 5 stars for cleanliness, it was spotless. The only issue were the mattress, which was quite uncomfortable on one side and definitely needs replacing, and the parking space, which was very small and made parking a bit tricky. The location was great, with lots of lovely restaurants nearby. I'd definitely stay here again if I visit the area."

"Lovely staff lovely place staying again at the end odf this month and will be staying regular for work cheap roomy and lovely shower gel and shampoo clean room worth the price i paid if not more lovely and welcoming manager"

"Property was extremely clean, warm and comfortable. Parking space. Easy walk to town centre."

"We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. Loved the different options to normal offerings with overnight oats and yoghurt smoothies. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely dog friendly hotel which we’d love to...

"Overall atmosphere was one of the best experienced. A 3 night stop. A busy , successful country pub, restaurant, party venue does create a few problems of wear. Which will need addressing fairly soon. Certainly recommend."
