"Highly recommend this hotel lovely friendly staff on-site car park has chargers for electric vehicle vehicles. Fantastic spa and swimming pool food was superb in the two restaurants. It’s right at the south of Lake Windermere so literally you can walk over to the ferry to do a ferry cruise to Ambleside or Bowness on Windermere Winder - it also has an aquarium and a steam train during the summer month. We didn’t bring our dog, but it is a dog friendly Hotel you really enjoyed our stay and already planning on bringing the dog for another trip "

"The hotel was clean and well organised. There are a few areas that are in need of some decoration, however, overall we had a good stay. There is plenty of parking, good WiFi and the furniture in the bedroom is of a high standard."

"Beautiful hotel and facilities. We loved our room - the bathroom was amazing! Heating and hot water broke on Friday so shower/bath was lukewarm and cold room. which spoiled our evening a little, unfortunately. Staff were lovely and resolved it ready for the next day/eve. Breakfast was wonderful on Sat/Sunday with great choice and quality. Surrounding area is beautiful and we made use of the chauffeur service to come back from our evening at the gorgeous (and highly recommended) Royal Oak pub/restaurant in Cartmel. Small touches we loved: the friendliness of staff, champagne on arrival, daily newspapers, dressing gowns, lovely coffee bags in our room, Molton Brown products. Things we’d improve for 5⭐️: toiletries ran out, coffee (decaf only) and milk not replenished on Sat turnabout so we ran out (too late to notice on Sun am); no biscuit treats available with drink- making, bin not emptied so overflowing by Sunday. "
