Staff engagement was great along with the activities that are included. However, my wife ended up getting food poisoning which was pretty bad (probably from one of the salads), it ruined our ability to enjoy the last half of the cruise and our trip in Vietnam. The staff did their best to try and comfort us but it was just an unfortunate outcome with no type of compensation for it.

Our waitress Thảo was superb in welcoming us & taking care of us at every meals during our entire stay. She was attentive and caring, introducing us to all the Ha Long Bay specialties. Thảo, Asst. Manager Trung and Chef Hữu went out of their way to prepare special Hạ Long squid dishes for us to try, making our stay very memorable. The entire Grand Pioneers 1 crew was very friendly & courteous & helpful. We would definitely recommend Grand Pioneers cruise to our friends & family and hope to come back again!!

Very luxury feel on the boat. Staff very friendly and attentive. Great food options and they catered very well for dietary requirements. Only negative was that the evening canapés/drinks on the top deck felt a little tacky and slightly like a school disco at times, and the canapés were not great (half a grape on a slice of stale baguette).

A wonderful cruise that delivered on comfort quality and service. Staff were very professional and attentive and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. There were many boats in Halong but this was far superior in every way, I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is considering a cruise in Halong.

From check-in to check-out, we felt truly special. The boat is relatively new, so everything on board looks spectacular. Our room had a balcony, offering a dreamlike view of Halong Bay. The activities were enjoyable, but it was the staff who really made the experience exceptional. “Cat,” the nickname of the staff member who attended to us at the restaurant, stood out in particular. The amenities on the boat were incredible from the pool to the playrooms and gym, everything exceeded expectations.

An incredible experience! A true luxury cruise. I did the two-day, one-night cruise, and it was absolutely worth it. The activities were very well organized and enjoyable, and the service throughout was exceptional. The facilities and service on this cruise exceeded our expectations! The ship seems new and far nicer than the others we saw around us. Food is excellent and our butler, Nyi, is the best! Amazing bay, despite the bad luck with weather. The Surprise Cave is a wow and shouldn’t be missed.

An unforgettable experience close to perfection

My recent 2-day,1-night trip abroad Grand Pioneer Cruise with my husband and 2 other couples in Ha Long Bay was spectacular. From the moment we checked in at the waiting lounge, stepped on board to final farewell, every detail was executed with details. The only fly in the ointment was when disembark waiting for car pickup in the lounge, we were asked to move to the other side because the area we sat was reserved for check in customers where there was no sign to indicate that. This left us feelinga bit anticlimactic. Same situation happened when we had a brunch buffet after kayaking before checking out. We were told there was no more beef noodle soup but chicken. In the end, staff brought me chicken soup without noodle. Totally different from the first day we were on board.

Just wrapping up our two day/one night cruise on Grand Pioneer. What a great experience. The bay is absolutely stunning. The upgraded room was very nice. We had our own large balcony off the stern of the boat. Our “butler” Nyi was excellent; kind, personable and always helpful. He never missed a beat. The cave tours were nice and there were plenty of options of activities on board. Not sure of two nights would have been worth it but certainly happy we chose Grand Pioneer for our trip

Truly a 5 Star experience from beginning until end. Modern cruise terminal, large transport boat and super friendly staff. Our server Alice was amazing throughout our meals. Jerry the manager was top notch and informative. My executive suite with balcony was modern, spacious and clean. Food was extensive with various options to choose from. Overall, I would highly recommend this overnight cruise in Ha Long.

BEST BOAT IN THE BAY🚢⚓️ Clean , big rooms , great food staff. Definitely recommend spending a little bit more to get on this boat ~ we were traveling from the USA and we thought the weather was supposed to be nice and it rain for both days that we were in Ha Long Bay, which kind of sucked, but you can’t control the weather. Definitely would’ve used the pool outdoor bar more if the weather would have cooperated IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL SPACE. loved the gym food was delicious. Sammy Lilly & all the staff. THANKS.

6 star cruise. Incredible all around. Day activities weren’t incredible.. but the boat was. Incredible food. Great staff. Highly highly recommended. Spend the extra money for this cruise. Well worth it. Always go for 2 nights. 1 night is no where near enough to enjoy all the boats amenities.

The staff are definitely the standout for us, nothing was too much for them as they ensured we had the best stay possible. We stayed there as part of our wedding anniversary trip and they went out of their way to make it such a memorable and special celebration. A shout out to Phong/Gucci, Sammy and Antony who went the extra mile to look after me and my husband. The room and excursions are great as well and the food was delicious. My husband is not great with seafood and they made sure to cater for it. Can't fault the whole experience.
