"I had a very nice stay at the Open Arms Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and made me feel at home. The room was first class with a view over the village green and very comfortable. The lounge area with the open fire is lovely and relaxing being able to have a pre- dinner drink and review the menu. It was a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be returning again in the very near future."

"The Highland cows were very cute. It would be nice if there was information about the cows, like names and ages. There were weeds in the plant pots in front of the cabin - would be nice if they were flowers! The bed was very soft but that’s just my opinion. The cabin was very quiet and the scenery was wonderful! Parking was easy. Location was good - parked at Newcraighall park and ride and took the train into Edinburgh!"

"The property was in poor condition, it looks like a small restaurant that has been converted to be a b and b. The room was very small and the bed (although it was a double) was small as well. The toilet handle was hanging off and didn’t flush properly without a bit of effort. It looks like it hasn’t been redecorated in a long time and the tv in the room was no bigger than a shoe box. The staff member we met was very helpful and had a very good attitude, but I think he is fighting a loosing...

Beautiful surroundings which the were fantastic for walking the dog. Trim track could do with bit of maintenance for safety reasons. Our villa was in a good spot and had all we needed apart from Hairdryer which seemed to have disappeared as the box was there empty. Some paintwork needed refreshed but this did in no way spoil our enjoyment of the...
