"We love to stay in the historic center of the cities we visit. Trocadero Suites the rooms that are part of a 20's or 30's house that have been converted into suites of different sizes. Ours was the smallest and it was roomy, clean and had a refrigeratoor and coffee making facilities. A walk in ample shower with plenty of hot water,too. "Excellent value. Can’t beat location in center of historical center. Easy access to hop on/off bus, Uber, metro, or walking around. Older historical hotel with great terrace. Felt safe, although didn’t walk side streets at night. Daily cleaning, big room, in room safe. Only issue was slow draining water in shower but not really a problem for us. Lovely staff. Highly recommend."

"The Hotel Villa San Francisco was delightfully charming with gracious and accommodating staff. The front patio, entry, and courtyard are well maintained and welcoming. I actually liked the Hotel -- however the one complaint I had, was the Safari room, which we stayed. It was a fairly basic layout that served our needs. However, 1. "The staff was amazing! They went out of their way to help! I called a restaurant from the lobby and my Spanish was not going well, an employee offered to help and spoke to the restaurant for me. I love the Junior Suites and the floor to ceiling windows, with the beautiful view of the city. Location wise, several great restaurants right across the street."
