"This is the second time I have stayed at the Solana hotel but unfortunately it will be the last. The staff member who checked me in was pleasant but unfortunately a couple who were Infront were struggling to understand what she was saying and there was not much helping them it was almost well it's your fault you can't understand... When my room was ready I made my way and I cannot fault the room was a good size, clean well presented. The shower was good and again happy with that. In the morning I went down for breakfast and it was chaos. One gentleman just accepting everyone to go in find a table that just wasn't available. People were almost falling over eachother just to get a table. After about 10 minutes I gave up as more and more people were wanting tables. It was getting worse. I said to the guy you need to stop people going in to which his reply "you should have arrived earlier". It was 9am when I arrived. This is not full summer time so I hate to see it when it really is full, he just didn't seem to care and finding a member of staff actually working in the restaurant was even harder to find than a table. It wasn't good at all. Upon check out I mentioned these issues to the receptionist as she asked. No sorry, no explanation all she said was "you have to write a review" so here I am. I presume paid for breakfast and believe me it's not about the money or refunds but nothing was offered. There's an hotel down the road The Maritim, it may cost more but 100% go there."

"Room immaculately made up every day. Good supply of tea coffee ect. Good fitness centre and pool although chlorine a bit strong. Handy for bus to airport and Valletta. Walking distance to Gozo ferry. Paradise Dive Centre across the road offering try dives, guided dives and dive courses. Would book again "

"Check in easy and polite, live piano in the lobby bar on Tues Thurs Sunday 8-11 pm, robes and complimentary bottle of red were a nice touch in our junior suite, balconies great with awesome view is the bay, and outlets were universal taking American, European, and UK charge types and maybe Australian and Asian too. Overall great spot would highly recommend."

"Lovely hotel. Very comfortable rooms, great amenities (the main outdoor pool was large enough to have a proper swim in), and good choice of onsite food options. The staff was wonderful - super helpful. "

"The hotel is nice and clean Great food and drink, especially in the club( we paid for ugrade) Many options to relax at swimming pools We met many very nice people: Nike Nadeem Melissa The manager Marion helped us to book a table in the restaurants. Men at the reception couldn’t help us with it."

"We had a short stay at the Damare Resort and Spa and I can only describe the experience as exemplary. I booked a Premium Room with hot tub in the room...... outstanding! The Front of House staff were helpful and friendly beyond anything I could expected, from checking us in, late checkouts, advise on landmarks, carrying out a welfare check on a sick friend staying in another room, to the attentive restaurant staff. Because we were there for a Stag Party, we didn't use many of the amenities, but what we did use was great. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely recommend this to my circle."
