"It was an amazing lodge with excellent views. Would surely come back and stay their again. Great breakfast options in the morning as you need fuel to start your day! Would love if the lodge has a small grocery/amenity store with basic food items as it is far off from the main city and last public transport to the lodge is at 6:40 PM which makes harder for dinner planning if you get late with sightseeing."

"Stayed July 2026 for 3 nights in a 2 twin room option. The room was small but it was sufficient for us. We were out most of the day so we really just needed a place with good breakfast and decent bed to sleep at. We chose to stay at Derby primarily for location and easy access to transportation. The staff was friendly, helpful and made recommendations how we can change our itinerary due to rain. The breakfast was sufficient and good variety. "the property and scenery is beautiful. location is just a few steps from the train station, restaurants and a few minutes walk to grindelwald first. the staffs were very nice. my daughter and i enjoyed our stay."
