"Beautiful property and gardens. Everything was immaculate and the hosts were extremely helpful. Probably best to have a rental car as the bus service is not great in that area."

"Rooms were nice and clean but we had an annoying noise coming from an air vent inside a wardrobe that drove us wild, made them aware and they attempted a bodge to cover it up but it still persisted and spoiled our sleep. The only other complaint is when we were dining a family with young children had been eating beside us and the kids had food on the floor, due to the hot weather there were a lot of flies about and they were congrigating around the food on the floor. "I really enjoyed my stay here, owners were so nice and helpful, while i am not a vegetarian the breakfast was really good, perfect omelette and I really appreciated the butter was actually at room temp so it could be spread and not rip the toast apart. Great sound proofing and very comfy bed. Thanks very much"

"Delightful visit to The George and Dragon! Friendly and obliging staff, great pub, room and breakfast. Rooms renovated to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Loved the windows which could be opened to cool the room and bonus bath to relax in. Friendly bar staff when we had a drink in the pub before bed and lovely lady served us at breakfast. Really impressed and highly recommend a stay. 10/10"

"This is a wonderful place to stay--convenient to the train station and the center of town, but in a quiet area. We stayed twice, before and after hiking in the Lakes District, and stayed in two different rooms. The beds are very comfortable, and both rooms had space for us to spread out. Tip: when it's really hot, the lower floors are cooler! Breakfast is great; we only got the continental, but it comes with porridge or overnight oats, and the menu for full breakfast looked fantastic and Sue...

"Just visited the Marymount hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I must say the food is first class. The hotel itself is in a magical position on the shore of Derwentwater. You can visit Keswick on the bus from outside the hotel or use the boat from the near jetty. Hopefully will be back soon."
