On arrival to Room No 1, everything seemed fine, however there was a strong smell of bleach and we noticed the window was open. Didn’t take a lot of notice, however when we returned later that evening there was a putrid smell, can only describe as smell feet or drains. The smell never left the room, in fact it got worse. We were only there for one night, any longer and I definitely would have left. The hotel itself is nice and that typical old decor we don’t see enough of & a lovely big dining area no longer used. But in its hey day would have been the place to stay x

Parking is out front in street bays, which are shared with the hotel across the street. Staying off season i was always fine finding a space but i could see it being limited in summer. Staff are efficient and helpful, rooms are basic but clean and i slept well enough. The weatherspoons (The Troll Cart) is a short walk away, so reliable food and drinks are nearby too.

60’s style of property and facilities ( stairs / lift) room was small but clean complete with fridge microwave and tv. Simple hanging rail for clothes. Street parking opposite which was free, 5minute walk to seafront.

Great budget hotel. Nice , clean and good location. Price of the room was very good. Good bathroom, toiletries supplied and clean towels. Lovely comfy bed. Room was a tad hot but it was heatwave. All in all a great stay over.

Room size great, nice to have a fridge & microwave (didn't use only stayed one night but they worked I checked) bed was very comfy and clean,plenty of free parking outside hotel. The only negative and a big one was only luke warm water for shower in morning, I mean luke warm had shower at 9am, check out was 10am.

We stayed here as a last minute choice and overall we were happy with it. Pros: Good price Clean room with a fridge and microwave Excellent location Easy to check in and check out Cons: Be aware that the bar/dining is no longer operating There is parking outside the hotel but you may not get a space right away The reception area and corridors need a renovating to make them lighter (perhaps new carpet)

Nice and clean, quiet location but only a 3-5 min walk from amusements. Only draw back bit of a musty smell in the shower which wasnt very powerful, more of a trickle....but overall, comfortable and clean

Friendly and clean hotel

Friendly staff, hotel and room was clean. Nice free carpark out the back, 2 minutes walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the main town center.

Traditional Old Seaside Hotel

Its a very dated property, but it gives it that real seaside hotel feel about it. Traditional! The rooms are clean with a modern bathroom (lacking shelf space in the bathroom). But lots of facilities in the room, and the daily maid service was great, giving us more bottled water and towels on a two night stay.

Have to say staff are so friendly and helpful, No doubt about this great location, It does require an update rooms spacious. Shame no breakfast or bar anymore like used to be but i class this as reasonably priced and you get adequate for the money you pay. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel near the seafront

Had a lovely room for me and my husband front of hotel. Double bed, also a single bed . Room was clean, and had a fridge, and a microwave if u needed it. No noise outside at night. Perfect cheap place for the one night, will be back!
