"From the first welcome to the final farewell, it was a joy to stay there. Substantive breakfasts, pet friendly, old manor house setting with great views. Good choice of relatively local (less than 10 miles) public houses for evening fare. Already hoping to get back there when next visiting the Lakes, which start only six miles north."

"Had a light large room with en suite, if you want fancy then this is not for you, the couple running it are very easy to talk to and very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was good, right in the centre of town. "

"Beautiful hotel, very impressive on arrival. Polite and friendly staff and served a very good breakfast. The hotel has a great bar and reception area as well as some quaint seating areas.
However the gardens rooms were not as we expected, not part of the main hotel, and almost like an extension attached to the main building. With no pictures in the corridors, and just bare walls, it actually felt quite neglected compared to the rest of the beautifully decorated hotel. The room itself was nice and spacious with a patio door to outside seating but sadly the bathroom let it down. The toilet button was broken, the towel rail fell off each time we reached for a towel, and there was mould around the edge of the bath. Pretty poor for a hotel of this standard. We also felt a £15 a day car parking fee pretty poor. Saying this the hotel is in a prime position right opposite the lake and we did enjoy our stay. For
anyone with a visit booked shortly please note the hotel garden is also having major works completed but it has been sectioned off quite nicely and no work was carried out whilst we were there so no disruptions to guests."
"The room was clean only slight negative was the extractor fan in the bathroom was slightly noisy. Parking was fine and we were able to park late morning and then check in late afternoon and not try find parking in Bowness which was helpful. As anyone that had checked out that morning had gone. The Breakfast was lovely and good selection."
"Second time staying at the Daffodil Hotel, lovely location, clean, comfortable beds, good shower, staff exceptionally friendly whilst remaining professional and very helpful, restaurant food excellent, breakfast excellent with good choices, overall I find this place pretty much perfect!"
"Friendly helpful staff in all areas of the resort. The apartment was super clean and everything in good condition.
Appreciated the emergency supplies of milk, sugar, salt & pepper etc.
Beds were very comfortable - sofa bed to sit on as a sofa was uncomfortable, but then it is a sofa bed..
Position of apartment on the lakeside was a real treat. Thoroughly enjoyed stay and will come back again."
