The Bay Club was a wonderful resort in a really convenient location. We went as a family of 4 with two young kids 9 and 11 years old, and everyone loved it. We stayed in a 3 bed ocean view ground floor appartment which felt like home away from home.
We were full board and stayed for two weeks, the food was delicious, and the portions were big.
The resort had all the amenieties you could ever want and a beach house that had complimentary water sports like pedalo, paddle board, kayak etc. There was a free shuttle boat that took you to Ile aux Cerfs Island every 30 mins (beautiful beach and clear water).
The best thing about the resort was the staff, everyone from the buggy drivers to the kitchen staff, kids club team, cleaning crew, main reception staff, pool staff, beach hut guys and shuttle boat driver were absolutely wonderfull, they really made our 20th wedding anniversary trip one to remember.
I don't have enough words to thank them all, but I must thank the main reception staff for helping us adapt our booking to make us more comfortable (thank you), no request was too difficult for the staff, they always tried to find a way to help. Also Mr Eddie in the main restaurant was outstanding and will forever be remembered by our family. He was so lovely , kind , friendly and helpful, and he and lots of other staff made the resort feel like a family. Also our friend from Argentina who made the pizzas was supper nice and made amazing pizzas. Thank you to all the staff.
Excellent facilities with 5 star professional and friendly staff made y stay one to remember Drinks expensive, especially the wine, but it is Mauritius so expected.
Our stay was beautiful. The resort offered a wonderful and peaceful stay. All the staff are super nice and attentive and care. The kitchen staff are lovely especially Ti madam, Karisma, Syndy and Roshinee. I would definitely comeback and recommend Anahita.
Lovely 2 bed apartment with all facilities. Resort Staff are very friendly & helpful. Food variety was good, well prepared & cooked.
We’ve been to Mauritius many times but first at Anahita, we would definitely recommend & return ourselves.
The Location is excellent, the golf courses, the personnel, water sports, etc.
The hotel needs a bit more of maintenance (tennis court, some furnitures, etc). But in all, we were extremely happy to be there!
We will be back!
We booked Bay Club at Anahita for 10 nights as a family of five with children aged 7, 14 and 17. Sadly, we had to check out after one night, which was a real shame.
The main issue was major renovation work around the restaurant, bar and pool, which we had not been made aware of. Noise, boarded-up areas and building work spoiled the ambience. Our apartment overlooked the restaurant and was also affected by workmen and scaffolding next door.
We were half board and the hotel had erected a marquee on the grass as a temporary restaurant. Unfortunately, it was poorly ventilated, attracted ants and uncomfortable. Management and staff were clearly embarrassed and acknowledged other guests had left. They tried to accommodate us in the Italian restaurant, but food options were limited.
The hotel kindly arranged for us to move to its sister property, Long Beach. However, this was not comparable to Bay Club, but we had little alternative.
There were positives. Our apartment was fantastic: spacious, modern, very clean and luxurious. The grounds and golf-course surroundings were beautifully maintained, and the resort felt exclusive, sharing the area with Four Seasons.
We particularly loved the boat trip to the island and its stunning beach. We enjoyed it so much that we returned later in our hire car, which the hotel allowed.
Once renovations are complete, Bay Club could be fantastic. It is peaceful and remote, although there is limited to do nearby and teenagers may find it quiet.
Beautiful resort and the staff was lovely. However, leaving the windows open invited mosques and lizards all over the house. I would recommend window netting panels to prevent this. Also dishwashing soap in the kitchen to clean utensils and handwashing soap. Otherwise, I would definitely visit the resort again. The view was breathtaking and the staff went above and beyond for the guests.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Considering the place wasn’t busy I felt the service and quality was lacking. If you like raw omelette every morning and raw prawns served to you and for the staff to say it’s meant to be like that then this is the place to go, also sharp bit of plastic in the cake! Staff just ignore you at breakfast stations, this was all on my first day which totally put me off! I got sick from the raw prawn, vomiting, dizziness and stomach aches all night and I just wanted to go home. I was so so disappointed, I came here because I always wanted to stay at Anahita and also seeing all the good reviews but although the place is beautiful I was left so disappointed. Staff offered me just a lemongrass tea for giving me food poisoning, sofa, cushions and curtains was so dirty but they did change and clean them when I asked but I would think for a 5 star resort these things would not happen. You have to call a golf buggy every time you need to go anywhere around the resort, resort far from any town, you would need a car to get around. Its such a shame as otherwise the resort is beautiful and food on other occasions were nice but not spectacular but my bad first night has overshadowed everything else.
The whole stay was fantastic. The only down thing was the restaurant choice was very limited. Only one restaurant (Italian) open at lunch time and 2 options at night time, one of them being the italian restaurant again. There was a 3rd restaurant near the pool but closed for reburbishing. This information was not available when we booked the Hotel. The food in the available restaurants was really nice, but we were missing a bit of variety after a few days.
Do not forget to bring your jellyshoes/water/diving shoes for the beaches
Die Prestige Suite war wirklich toll. Super Größe für eine 5-6 köpfige Familie.
Das Personal war sehr hilfreich und hat wirklich versucht den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.
