This was a really nice little inn. The staff was marvelous. One little glitch was apparently they no longer deal with Expedia but apparently Expedia doesn’t realize this. I had called before I arrived and that’s when I found out they didn’t have a reservation for me and then when I looked on Expedia’s site I saw my reservation was cancelled but I don’t know by whom. I was able to Make a reservation by speaking to the man at the inn. Anyway it was a nice cute place with a little bar and a restaurant. I would stay there again if I’m ever back in Gosport.

A happy discovery!

We were pleased with the hotel. Friendly staff, really clean and a "can do" attitude that was admirable. The bedroom was clean and well appointed with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever found in a hotel! Only one small issue was no heating in the en-suite on one of the coldest days of the year. Will visit again especially as I owe Tom a glass of wine!

The owners of the hotel were very friendly and informative about the area, breakfast was very nice and we had a good choice of food. The room smelt of cigarettes and the bathroom smelt very musty, the bed was very comfortable but the room was not worth the £140 per night we paid for it. After coming back from a night in Portsmouth it would be nice to have some sort of lighting to see the relevant door to get back in as was pitch black.

Check the postcode!

Firstly - postcode is incorrect, it should be PO12 2JX. Hotel feels as if it is trying to get up on its feet but is not there yet. Hand written signs around the place, re-photocopied bits of paper etc. During our stay we received 3 emails asking us to extend our stay, which felt a little forward to say the least! On a more practical note, if you're not keen on narrow stairs this is not the hotel for you. Room was fine, surprisingly quiet considering active bar downstairs when we stayed.

Lovely stay.

I was going to a funeral, so not the best of reasons for an overnight stay. Lovely place, friendly staff and a great breakfast. I would definitely stay there again, hopefully in nicer circumstances.

I didn’t get to stay at the hotel I booked as you cancelled my reservation whilst I was travelling to the hotel. Then you sent me 4 emails welcoming me to the property. I’m very disappointed at the service and will never use Hiteks.com again.

When we arrived at The Old Lodge we were told there had been a mistake with a double booking but they had arranged for us to stay at a nearby hotel. The man then took us to the nearby hotel which was The Anglesey. When we got there he paid for our room which was an upgrade on the room at Old Lodge. So as we never stayed at the Old Lodge I cannot rate it or comment on it in anyway
