Not only is Basecamp Lodge an absolutely adorable place with great accommodations and phenomenal views, but it is also has some of the most wonderful human beings working there that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! So friendly, genuine and kind! It was a perfect experience.

This property is off the beaten path but lovely mountains surrounding it. Very quiet i was able to keep windows open. Lovely end room. Very reasonable.

Spent 2 nights, we were on the ground floor and the window faced the parking lot which meant when the curtains were open people could look in. Staff were friendly, there is a coffee area available for coffee and tea. Golden itself is an okay town, nothing wildly exceptional. Had amazing pizza at 'Red Tomato Pies' in town, and saw a few shops.

Property was in an easily accessible location with lots of free parking. Nice views of the mountains from all rooms. The room with loft bedroom was quaint and unique and great for solo travellers or couples. The main sitting and dining area was impressive with the large log beams, fantastic stone fireplace as a centre piece and free 24hr coffee/esspresso machine, tea, and oatmeal and WIFI. Extremely friendly staff. Code to room very convenient so you don't worry about keys. Walkable pathway to downtown Golden. Bicycle rental or loan would be a great addition to this property.

This a beautiful clean property however it is ridiculously loud. Very thin walls and there are ear plugs provided in the bathroom which means this is an issue. Quiet times are 10pm -7 am which for the most part was fairly quiet but I was shocked at how you could hear everything. People in the hallways. People talking in the room next to us. TV in the room next door. Just a very loud place to stay. Other than that it was good. Likely won’t stay again due to the noise.
