"This was a fantastic location and the rooftop restaurant was spectacular - with an unbelieveable view, along with indoor and covered and uncovered outdoor seating. In addition, the breakfast that was included was absolutely amazing. We got the superior room and it had everything we needed. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. "I have never paid so much for a hotel that had so little to offer. The room was absolutely lacking in color and detail; everything but the duvet was grey. But what really disturbed me was the fact that the pool was not operating. No reason was provided for this. I was really looking forward to a good swim before a 12-flight. The restaurants were nearly empty and it was easy to understand why; the prices were exorbitant. For $500 US per night, you'd think they could at least include breakfast in the fee. ILike most guests, I simply walked back to the airport and bought food there. Given that the Sofitel is the ONLY airport hotel, they are able to get away with charging so much for so little."
