"We recently stayed at the lovely Blue Haven where we had a HUGE and charming room. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic…great soaking tub and toiletries. The staff could not have been nicer. The location could not have been better. Be sure not to miss the wonderful Bulman Pub in the next village on top of the hill."

"This place was absolutely stunning!! The staff was so amazing and helpful. Their driver took us down for dinner at The Hunted Hog in town and it was so delicious. Our room was beautiful and so spacious. A complimentary bottle of wine was waiting upon our arrival. Would book this again and again and again!!! Unfortunately it was raining so we didn’t get to explore the grounds but from what I could see, that was also spectacular. "

The two beds were fresh and clean and each with 4 pillows and four decorative charcoal grey/black pillows. The bathroom had plenty of thick towels and a bath mat. "It’s a little bit out of Cork, but a lovely property: both old and new part of the hotel. The best option would be a suite in the 300 year old original building, if you can afford it. But garden view newer rooms also nice!"

"What a beautiful hotel. Set in fabulous surroundings, it has everything you need for the perfect getaway. Rooms are spacious and beds so comfortable. Food is excellent. We had breakfast and dinner on both days and couldn't find fault . It was excellent. Saying all of that, the hotels absolute treasure is its staff. They are gems. "We had a fantastic stay at Moxy Cork. It’s clean, staff are all friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. We saw Brian regularly throughout our stay and he preempted our orders from the first day. "This is a really lovely hotel, all the staff were friendly and very professional. The room was spotless and up to date, and a good size. Bed was super comfy. The bar was really nice, big but still cosy. Food was really good, all home made and very well cooked. Plenty of choice for breakfast and food was good. I used the gym, and though busy there was plenty of machines. Would highly recommend if you need a hotel near cork and dont want to stay in the city. "

"A surprising bit of luxury in a small guest house. We stayed at the Glen Quarter for one night at the start of a coastal tour, but now I kind of wish we'd booked two nights instead. Our stay fell on a Tuesday night in the off season, so I feel like we barely sampled the charms of Kinsale and now I want to come back for a longer stand (this happens A LOT in Ireland... Charming smaller towns feel so welcoming and familiar, but are eclipsed by the glamorous bigger cities). But back to the Glen...

"We did not have breakfast but regarding the stay, it was excellent. Due to the time of year (just after Christmas), there were very few other guests at the place, but I would expect it would be much more active in the Summer. No complaints."
