It wasn’t even what I would call a mattress. The double bed was actually two twin box springs pushed together. Unbelievable that such a beautiful and quaint hotel wouldn’t spend a little bit of money making sure their guests got a comfortable night sleep"

"Top Lage am See. Wir hatten ein sehr großes Zimmer, Bett sehr bequem. Kaffee / Wasserkocher im Zimmer. Heizung im Bad ging leider auch auf Nachfrage nicht (Außentemperatur 11‘C). Abendessen top! Frühstück komplett britisch/ schottisch, leider kein Käse/Wurst/Schinken. Dafür aber Würstchen, Black Pudding, Baked Beans usw."

"We stayed 3 nights and was told that if we didn’t agree to confirming breakfast at check in for each morning then the charge would go from £10.00 per person to £12.50 per person. That is just a rip off! We decided to eat breakfast in Fort William each morning at Wetherspoons and have dinner out of the hotel as a protest! It wasn’t about the extra charge entirely, but the principle! In my opinion we should be able to choose in the morning if we want to eat at the hotel. At that time we should be...

"Very noisey with people going up & down the stairs. Could hear other rooms when they were using the bathroom. Overpriced not value for money."

"Room was small (only about 18” on each side of the bed) which made luggage and clothes difficult to manage. Bathroom was nice with heated floors. Room was dark, which didn't make it feel clean. Breakfast was good. Overall it was really expensive (~250 pounds) for one night, which seemed very overpriced for what we received. Not sure I would stay here again."

"We were there during the weekend when the town held a special event about mountain bike. Luckily, the hotel was out of the city centre, so the night was peaceful and quiet. The room was spacious. Only one particularly dislike was that from the bathroom window, the afternoon sun was so strong that we could have got sunburn sitting on the toilet. And there was no curtain on bathroom window. Well, it was a very unusually sunny that day. "
