"Well located for the Kelvingrove Museum, Huntarian museums, botanic gardens and the University of Glasgow. It’s also about a five minute walk to the nearest subway station which will take you into the centre of Glasgow. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and all the staff were super-helpful and friendly. It was also well sound-proofed which I appreciated as I’m easily disturbed by traffic noise etc! The area is nice with lots of cafes, restaurants and bars, and some interesting shops. "
"This was a great stay for the night before hiking the west highland way. Although the outside and adjoining facilities look rundown, the room itself was very pleasant, and the check-in staff were friendly, warm, and inviting. Best bedding of the entire trip!"

"The Alamo Guest House offers ten rooms. It is small and that is its strength. The rooms are clean. The staff is extremely helpful. An excellent choice of cold and hot plates is offered for breakfast. There are a good choice of different restaurants near the Alamo. I highly recommend this hotel."
"The place is absolutely one of cleanest place we have ever traveled; I would rate it 10/10; the owner is very friendly and helpful; breakfast was fantastic and well organized. Very quiet neighbourhood and easy access to great dinning place and Glasgow city centre. The only small downside would be very weak WIFI if you are travelling for leisure then who-care but if need to do business then you will have Challenge! "
"We had a poor room to start, nothing wrong just very small with a view of a concrete wall. The hotel helped and moved us to a lovely room. The staff (tavis) were excellent. "
"My stay at Argyll Hotel was lovely, the staff are helpful and friendly. My room was clean, comfy bed with plenty of tea bags, coffee, milk and sugar. The bathroom was very clean with a lovely shower. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in Glasgow. "
